CCTV Privacy Notice
Bayanihan Hundred Islands Agrarian Reform Cooperative (BHIARCO) respects your fundamental right to privacy and we commit to take great care in safeguarding your personal data. We have developed this privacy notice to provide information about our privacy practices relating to our use of CCTV in our facilities aside from setting out the general principles that govern the collection, use, and disclosure of the personal data involved.

Why we process your personal data

BHIARCO has CCTV in operation at its various facilities, including its offices, and parking area. The CCTV captures images in real time wherever the cameras are pointed. These cameras may capture a footage of you or of your vehicle while you are within BHIARCO premises.
BHIARCO operates the CCTV in pursuit of its legitimate interest in maintaining the safety and security of its facilities for you --- our customers/members, employees and visitors. We also operate the CCTV to comply with our legal obligation. There are local government units with ordinances requiring the installation of CCTV in business establishments falling within their jurisdictions due to the risk of criminal activity and other unforeseen incidents.

Why we disclose your personal data

Should there be an incident, we may be required by law enforcement agencies to provide a copy of CCTV footages to investigate a crime. We may also need to provide such a copy to our advisors if there is a possible breach of company regulations or a need to defend BHIARCO from potential claims.
In case of a disclosure, we ensure that it is done through secure channels and in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

Procedure for requests for access to or copies of CCTV footage

Request letter(Before you can request access to CCTV footage you will need to prepare an official letter of request. Ensure that this document is thorough and accurate, as any mistakes or incomplete information could mean that your request is denied. Include detailed information such as the date and location of the incident or occurrence you wish to view; the advantage of providing photographic evidence (if available) is that it can help identify which camera may have recorded the incident.)
Request/endorsement letter from PNP/barangay.(For Legal/Accident/Criminal)

How long we retain your personal data

Under normal circumstances, a CCTV footage is retained for 30 days from the day of its recording. After which, it would be deleted. A footage required for investigative or evidential purposes is retained for five (5) years or until the case is closed, whichever is longer, and is securely disposed of after such period.

Changes to our privacy notice

From time to time, we may update our privacy notice to respond to the changes in applicable laws, regulatory requirements, technologies, protocols, industry best practices and business purposes.
